These girls rock!
Three of them (Veronica, Jessica and Tenaya) came to my Sonoma hotel room to do the bride, 5 bridesmaids, and four mom’s hair AND makeup – everyone looked and felt just fabulous!
My makeup lasted at least 12 hours, and my curls looked great more than 24 hours later! Best of all – these chicks are the real deal sweethearts. They have the best makeup, they know how to use it, and they certainly understand “wedding chaos”.
This bride couldn’t be happier with JS Makeup Artistry!

Wow not sure even where to begin… I rarely never do reviews but felt JS Makeup Artistry deserved every bit to get one! I used the salon for my hair and makeup for my mother’s wedding and I was over the top PLEASED!!! My mother the Bride and sister-in-law used the salon as well. Booking the appointment was easy and painless! I have been in many weddings so I have seen many prices and I feel the price was fair. Jacqueline did all of our makeup and did an AMAZING Job!!! My mother is older and to capture the look we wanted can be hard..Not too much makeup, but enough to feel like she was the bride. Well, Jacqueline did just that and more! My mother was Breath Taking!!! My makeup was exactly what I wanted as well! Jacqueline was very nice and professional! The Salon was Modern and Hip! It would be great for any party size!!!
Jesse at the Salon did our hair and did it perfectly! She knew the “In Styles”, which made me happy! She too was Super Sweet and did an Amazing job! My hair is Very heavy and Super thick and some stylists can’t do thick hair, but Jesse had NO problems at all and my hair never moved at all during the whole wedding! My moms hair was also PERFECT! Jesse nailed the look we were looking for!
I would definitely use JS makeup Artistry again for another event and would recommend it to my friends and family! For any Bride that is getting married check it out, you will be pleased! Oh, and my mom did a trial makeup/hair before and that too was fun and easy!
They both listened to what we were thinking and gave us some ideas what would look good and also showed us pictures so we could see what style we wanted. I feel that really helped as well! I know this may sound funny, but I was relieved when we first saw them because they both were hip as well! I find that says a lot!!!

Veronica Passalacqua at JS Makeup provided hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids, and the moms. She did an excellent job! I received many complements saying how beautiful I looked on my wedding day. She also did a nice job with the moms without overdoing the makeup, and the bridesmaids were happy with the way they looked.
I did the preview appointment with Veronica on the weekend before my wedding, which was incredibly helpful. Veronica spent about 1.5-2 hours with me working on a look I was happy with. She did a great job on my hair, which was exactly what I wanted. We tried a couple of different looks with the makeup until we landed on something I was happy with, since I don’t normally wear a lot of makeup.
I would highly recommend the preview appointment, since you can see how your hair and makeup with hold throughout the day, and make any necessary changes on your wedding day. I had Veronica go a little lighter on the foundation for my wedding day since it didn’t settle in much after my preview appointment. I also purchased my lipstick at my preview appointment, so I would have it for my wedding day and could use it for other things like the rehearsal dinner, etc.
I would recommend JS Makeup Artistry to other brides looking for makeup in the area. I looked at one other “bridal makeup” service in the area, and while their prices were reasonable for the bride, their prices for bridesmaids hair and makeup were twice as high as JS Makeup. I know there are cheaper hair and makeup services in the area if you go through a regular salon, but I don’t have a regular hair salon so JS was a nice safe bet for my wedding day.
I know some people have commented that the payment schedule is difficult with JS Makeup, but it really is not. You pay the deposit/booking fee to the company owner Jacqueline Scott, then another $100 at the time of your bridal preview appointment, and the rest on the wedding day.

JS did my makeup for my wedding and I couldn’t have been happier! They were responsive to my calls, professional and did a fantastic job on my makeup,hair and my bridesmaids makeup.
The reception took place in my backyard so it was hectic, to say the least, the day of my wedding at my home. The JS girls came in took myself and my bridal party upstairs (to my bedroom where our makeup and hair was to be done) and started to work their magic. The stress of the set up going on down stairs melted away and they helped transform me from a wacky woman into a
glowing bride for one of the most incredible days of my life. Thanks JS!!

Veronica is AMAZING.
On my wedding day she showed up a little early and stayed a little after. My bridesmaid’s hair looks wonderful ALL DAY. My hair and make-up stayed in place and looked great until the end. Veronica knew everything about how to make a bride feel beautiful and relaxed. You MUST book her. She talked with us as we went about with wedding prep and didn’t mind the few distractions.
Love her. Love her work. Can’t say enough good things.

The Foundation Dilemma

The Foundation Dilemma – Liquid, Mineral or Airbrush, which is right for your wedding day?
A question that we are often asked is why we use liquid foundation. The reason that we use liquid foundation instead of air brush or mineral makeup is because it can be set with powder so that it will last all day.
We love the look of airbrush makeup but the beauty of it is the clean look that one or two passes make. The down side is that it will not last all day if it is not set with powder. If it is set with powder you defeat the purpose of the airbrush and might as well have used liquid. Also multiple passes hold up the best but look very think, also defeating the purpose of using airbrush.
We like mineral foundation… for an hour or two. After that it settles in the creases of the face and becomes shiny.
We use a liquid foundation that can be blended to get the perfect color match for your skin. Depending on what is right for your skin, we can achieve a sheer coverage or we can get a full coverage with it. We use a triple milled powder that is sort of like a powdered sugar consistency. Our liquid foundation and powder leave a beautiful soft finish that doesn’t cake or settle in the creases of the skin, photographs well, and will last all day!
